Hey folks,

The iPhone and iPod touch have such a huge potential as educational tools!

I've recently completed some math-based educational apps that might be of use in and out of the classroom. You can check them out at the following site if you're interested in reading more:

http://web.me.com/douglaspneill/www.douglaspneillapps.com/Welcome.html

I'm always looking for suggestions and ways to make better apps so don't hesitate to contact me:

douglaspneillapps@gmail.com

Thanks,
Doug

@Cindy That depends on the person you are texting to. Most calling plans include unlimited texting, but if your recipient doesn't have unlimited text messages they may be charged if you text them. Hope that helps!

I wanted to add to this announcement that Tony Vincent's workshop is sponsored by ISTE's Handheld Computing SIG (SIGHC) and this will be the first in a series of free workshops for its members. (Anyone -- SIGHC member or not -- is welcome to attend)

For more information on SIGHC, please visit their website at http://www.iste.org/sighc

Wes, thanks for all the help! I also got some information in response to your FB status. It's great to be able to connect so quickly and easily with other educators.

Wes, thank you so much for gathering this information for us. I teach with Chris Paradise. It will be very useful as we prepare for our iTouch grant project. We will sign up for Tony Vincent's April 29 webcast, for sure. The Apple Learning Interchange article is fantastic, but we knew there must be something live out there!
