Apple netbook under development?
According to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report, the Taiwan-based company Wintek will supply touch panels for a new netbook under development by Apple. Peter Smith’s ITworld article “Apple netbook rumors resurface” today includes additional links and speculation worth reading. Is this an official announcement from Apple? No. Do I have inside information on this rumor? No. I do, however, believe netbooks represent a disruptive innovation which is having and will have a MAJOR impact on educational technology market in the coming months. From what I’ve read, it appears all major laptop manufacturers are scrambling to bring more robust netbook options to market.
